Fetal Ultrasound Review Course 2024

We are happy to present a one-day program on ultrasound imaging. This course will go over the imaging needed to review normal anatomy of the fetal heart, gastrointestinal development, assessing the three-vessel fetal trachea view, normal renal development, and normal fetal brain anatomy. Additionally, we will be reviewing ultrasound images to discuss pitfalls, common anomalies, and possible abnormalities. We will also offer live, hands-on scanning to practice obtaining these images on real patients. This course will be helpful to any sonographer or physician that is routinely performing OB ultrasounds in a radiology department or OB office.

1. SITUS AND CARDIAC AXIS Explain how to obtain correct situs.
2. Discuss the pathology associated with abnormal situs.
3. THE FOUR-CHAMBER HEART Recognize normal anatomy of the fetal heart.
4. Review how to obtain optimal four-chamber views of the fetal heart.
5. Discuss common pitfalls in obtaining the four-chamber view of the fetal heart.
6. Describe possible abnormalities of four-chamber fetal heart.
7. GI ABNORMALITIES Review normal fetal gastrointestinal development.
8. Review most common gastrointestinal anomalies.
9. LIVE SCANNING Recognize from demonstration how to optimize fetal heart and fetal anatomy.
10. THE THREE-VESSEL TRACHEA VIEW Assess three-vessel fetal trachea view (3VTV).
11. Differentiate between three-vessel view and three-vessel trachea view.
12. Describe how to obtain optimal 3VTV.
13. RENAL ABNORMALITIES Review normal fetal renal development.
14. Review most common renal anomalies.
15. THE FETAL BRAIN Recognize normal anatomy of the fetal brain.
16. Review how to obtain optimal views of fetal brain.
17. Review of most common brain anomalies.
18. ABNORMAL CASES Review ultrasound images and evaluate for best patient results.

        $90 – Advanced Practice Providers and Physicians
*Fee includes continental Breakfast, lunch and conference materials.

The ProMedica Health System is accredited by the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
The registration fee, minus a $25 administrative fee, will be refunded if a cancellation is received (in writing or by phone) no later than Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Refunds will not be given for failure to attend. Substitutions may be made at any time (in writing or by phone) without an additional charge. If this meeting is cancelled for any reason, including labor strikes or acts of nature, liability is limited to a full refund of registration fees.
