The ever changing field of Infectious Diseases is pertinent to all physicians and in constant need for reviews and updates. It is one of the most demanding areas of medicine in terms of disease epidemiology and therapeutic regimens. COVID-19 has given us many challenges and plenty to discuss

1. Describe role that multilateral agencies play in influencing global public health response.
2. Identify approaches that were utilized in countries that were successful in flattening their epidemic curves.
3. Chronicle success and failures of domestic pandemic response.
4. Review COVID-19 trends in Lucas County.
5. Compare Lucas County COVID-19 statistics with United States statistics and explore reasons for the difference.

15. Describe steps that were taken to ensure patient care and provider safety and how this changed due to COVID-19.

18. Discuss nuances of acute respiratory insufficiency, acute hypoxemic respiratory failure, and acute respiratory distress syndrome in COVID-19.
