Overview

The World Health Organization describes social determinants of health (SDOH) as the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age. Despite spending more on medical care than any other nation, the U.S. has relatively poor outcomes as compared to many other developed countries. The long-term goal of this conference is to establish a platform for research in the field of SDOH and the relationship to minority health outcomes and health disparities identified in urban and rural areas.
